Working with ninth and tenth grade students at Foxboro High

School, Conner Bourgoin is proving to be a competent professional who
works hard to get to know his students and to meet their needs as
learners. Whenever I observed Conner, he handled classroom routines
effortlessly and paced his activities so that his students were busy
without feeling stressed. His lessons were always carefully planned
with clear objectives and relevant activities.
Conner has a strong work ethic; he is conscientious and thorough
in his planning and in his teaching. Conner varies his instructional
methods and is open to suggestions. He does not hesitate to ask for
advice; I noticed his increased efforts to move around the room during
group work so he could engage students individually to his assess their
understanding of the material.
The lessons I saw on both Lord of the Flies and The Scarlet Letter
required close reading and critical thinking skills. Conners lessons for
both units were scaffolded to meet the needs of all his students.
Conners professional goals include increasing student involvement
daily. His creativity and command of the material are helping him
achieve this goal.
Conners affable manner and willingness to participate in schoolwide activities has earned him the respect of his students and his
peers. He is a highly motivated, conscientious teacher. I recommend
him with enthusiasm. Please contact me if you have any questions or
concerns.
