Objective
Obtain degrees in education so I can use my skills to help students achieve their goals using traditional
and modern approaches to teaching.

Experience
In High School

August 2013 May 2015

I took a two Early Childhood Education classes where I worked with a group of other students to teach
two to five year old children who were in enrolled in the Huskie Play School. I created lesson plans, and
worked on different skills to engage the children into the activities.
I took an Introduction to Education class that was a dual credit class with College of DuPage and gave us
the opportunity to spend time in a classroom and Observe a teacher that taught the grade(s) we were
interested in. I observed a third grade class at Highland Elementary School for three full school days. I
also wrote lesson plans and reflections according to my observations and I wrote a lesson plan to teach
my own lesson about the history of education.

In College

August 2015 - Present

I am currently enrolled in an education class entitled Education for Exceptional Children, which cover
special education. In this class we went to Glenbard South High School and did five hours of
observations in different classrooms, and 15 hours of work in a program called Lunch Intervention,
where students with a failing grade in one or more classes went to get extra help from the College of
DuPage students.
I am currently enrolled in Mathematics for Elementary Teachers. This class covers how to teach math to
students and puts a heavy emphasis on us, as future teachers, knowing how to do the math. The class
also talks about how the Common Core Standards relate to the topic, and which grades would most
likely be learning the mathematical topic.
I am about to begin a Childrens Literature class where we examine and analyze different type of
literature that children would see and read regularly.

Naperville North High School

August 2011 - May 2015

I went to NNHS for my freshman year though senior year. I was involved in theatre, and worked very hard
in all my classes. I took AP and honors classes.

College of DuPage

August 2015 Present

I am currently at COD pursuing and Elementary Education degree, and I am planning to join Kappa Delta Pi
after the 2016 Spring Semester.

Skills
I am proficient in PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and Excel. I am proficient in a math tool called GeoGebra,
which is used for geometry and algebra skills. I can create well thought-out lesson plans. I am well

organized and can multitask efficiently. I do well under pressure and can think quickly on my feet, which
makes me a good problem-solver.
