Strengths
Professionalism and Understanding
- Used correct formalities introductions
Objective clearly stated outcome was clear.
- Body language/ presence and hand gestures are all inviting and movement
around the classroom shows confidence.
- Voice is loud and clear.
- Has a good relationship with the MST.
Planning for Learning
- The objectives were written on the board This is great
- Instructions were clear and precise (got better as the lesson progressed).
- Activities matched the objectives activated schemata, introduced new
words, spelling, classifying and written activity to finish. All activities led onto
the next one controlled to freer practice to assessment.
- Grammar well explained and implemented.
Implementing and Managing Learning
- Reinforced correct answers excellent/good job
- Eyes to me.. Waited until everyone was watching. Made sure that they were
listening before going on
- Used the Behaviour Management system that the teacher has in the
classroom. Card system for the groups.
- A vegetable is a kind of Are there any strawberries in your polate? Yes,
there are full sentences please T models the correct sentence structure
and the Ss copy.
- Now, lets move onto the next part of the lesson. let me explain the
instructions first Wait! I will come
- Work was done in groups kept Ss motivated and stress levels down.

- Walked around the classroom and saw all the boys work. Good monitoring
and assisted where necessary.

- What other things could we say to explain what is excellent or good
try? What was excellent? What makes a good try? What could they
do better? E.g. Excellent You spelt that word correctly. Good job.. I
like the way you pronounced the word.
Monitoring and Assessment of Learning
- Is it necessary to explain in Arabic? When do you know that they
dont understand? E.g. Ask some of the boys to repeat the
instructions first. Those that dont know, then you can use Arabic.
