thatwearenotonlythetopcompetitorsinsports,military,consumerismbutineducationas
well?Anoptioncouldbethat,educationsystemsshouldincorporateasecondlanguageintothe
curriculumjustlikemath,science,andenglishrightasachildbeginsschool.Forexample,
perhapsteachingSpanishsinceabout17%ofallcitizensintheUnitedStatesareHispanic
surpassing12.3%ofBlacksand5%AsiansbasedonstudydonebyFactank.Bynotteaching
anotherlanguageatthebeginningofanindividual'sacademiccareer,wearebasically
underminingthecapabilitiesofthechildren.Inotherwords,ifwedonottrythis,thenwewill
