And yet in two million years, the human

brain has nearly tripled in mass, 00:11

I believe this is true due to the fact that we

can observe the size of brains back in the day
and the size of ours today but also due to the
fact that we are a lot smarter today.

Human beings have this marvelous

adaptation that they can actually have
experiences in their heads before they try
them out in real life. 01:06

I know this to be true because I have done

this before many times and we are able to
visualize a whole situation and situations that
could possibly happen caused by the
previous situation.

a year after losing the use of their legs,

and a year after winning the lotto, lottery
winners and paraplegics are equally happy
with their lives. 02:47

I believe this to be true because a year later

both groups of people have adapted to their
lives since they changed and they are back
on their normal level of happiness.

how major life traumas affect people

suggests that if it happened over three
months ago, with only a few exceptions, it
has no impact whatsoever on your
happiness. 03:31

I also believe that this could be true due to

the same reasoning that I had for the last
quote. People will get used to their lives and
return to a normal level of happiness.

I am the happiest man alive. I have that in

me that can convert poverty to riches,
adversity to prosperity. 04:07

Everybody has the ability to make themselves

happy all of the time. It is a state of mind and
you have to do that to yourself.

We synthesize happiness, but we think

happiness is a thing to be found. 05:00

As I previously stated, happiness is a state of

mind and it is not something that can really be
found except by yourself.

Natural happiness is what we get when we

get what we wanted, and synthetic
happiness is what we make when we dont
get what we wanted. 08:37

I can see how this is true. When we get what

we want we become happy for a certain
amount of time but then get used to it.
Synthetic happiness is our state of happiness
when we dont get what we want and we are
just going through motions.

The psychological immune system works

best when we are totally stuck, when we are
trapped. 14:56

When we are trapped and dont know what to

do our true self comes out and our
psychological immune system helps us
choose the best options.

we have within us the capacity to

manufacture the very commodity we are
constantly chasing when we choose
experience. 20:51

This is true because we have the capacity to

make ourselves be happy but we continue to
believe well only be happy by experiencing
great things.
