    The Water Safety Act
    A bill to regulate water purity and the level of toxic substances in the water supply
    nationally.
    Whereas
    the high levels of lead found in Flint Michigans and various places around
    the countrys water supply.
    Whereas
    high levels of lead may lead to disabilities and harm, especially for young
    children (World Health Organization).
    Whereas
    the high levels of lead found in the body may contribute to increased
    violence and contribute to higher levels of minorities in prison.
    Be it hereby enacted
    that

    (1) Each state be regulated by the federal government in its water purity and
    drinking water supply.
    (2) Each state must meet a certain standard set by the federal government, that
    eliminates any and all toxic substances found in the water supply.
    (3) Water filters are installed in all homes in areas in which water safety is found to
    put the community at risk.
