Question: Do sports have a positive outlook on young children?
Thesis: I think that sports have a positive outlook on young children because it
teaches them teamwork and at the same time its keeping them active. For a young
child to stay active at a young age could have positive effects for the child even as
they become adults as long as they continue to do sport related activities.

Perceptions Of
Their Use Of NASPE Standards." Physical Educator 72.(2015): 324-341. Health
Source Consumer Edition. Web. 11 Feb. 2016.
This source proves my thesis in many ways. It not only says that sports can and
does have a positive outlook on children, but it also states the problem young
children are facing by not being involved in sport activities. Obesity being a major
growing problem since the 1950s and is steadily increasing each year. The foods
that children eat today are harming them more than helping them. Back then it
wasnt junk food like their is in todays society. NASPE has been doing research to
see whether or not PE or sport activities decreases the chance of a child getting or
having obesity.

Levels
Of Overall Health-Related Physical Activity In Children (CHAMPS Study-DK)."

This source supports my claim, but unlike the above source there's a slight
difference between them. This source focus mainly on how MVPA(Moderate to
Vigorous Physical Activity) benefits young youth than just your average physical
activity. This source supports that kids in a physical sport like gymnastics,
basketball, football, and volleyball may be getting some physical activity but its just
not good enough. According MVPA their methods of sport like activities can increase
3 to 15 times folds of achieving physical activity guideline concordance. Major
problem is that in their recent studies theyve found that as kids go from being kids
to teens in middle school, and then to young adolescents in high school is that
physical activity, and sports decrease as some children get older.

Study Of Children's Transition To Club Sport Competition." BMC Public Health
15.1 (2015): 1-7. Academic Search Premier. Web. 18 Feb. 2016.
This final source just like all the rest supports my question. It focuses on age groups
from 5 to 17 on how they participate doing sports, withdraws from the sport, and
they kids just like a lot in todays society who dont participate in sports period. In
their research it shows that 80% kids nationally between the ages of 13-15 dont
participate in sports. Now Im no rocket scientist but as look on humanity thats not
good at all. What makes it even more horrifying is that 1 in 5 kids in Australia aged
from 13-15 only 19% actually do the full 60 minutes of exercising.
