Dear Review Board Members
Hello my name is Eugene Alexander, I am a Harding senior who is graduating this
upcoming June. My project topic is on me believing that Curfews shouldnt be allowed to be
enforced, and that the decision should be up to the parents. Parents are the caregiver of their
child, so honestly they should be the ones telling their kids where to be at what time. If the teen
or child is a juvenile, than i feel their should be a organized agreement for the child.
My 3 reasons are that curfews discriminate against teens that dont have the intentions of doing
anything wrong. Second a curfew takes away the teens natural liberties. Their is a"fundamental"
right that all human beings are born with. Finally there is no evidence or data that a curfew
works. Crime stoppers cant distinct the crimes of teens during curfews.
This process was very stressing being that I had to find ways to earn service learning hours. If I
had to change anything itll honestly be the time spent researching instead of multi tasking.
