Group 7

Digital Photography
Jesse Carew & Amanda Vasquez

Look at the Duck

Students will be asked to get into pairs and will use the pre-cut,
folded paper in front of them along with their imagination to capture
a photo of their partner
(demonstration by Amanda and Jesse)

Once an initial photo has been taken, students will be asked to

reflect on the reaction produced by their subject.

Students will then be asked to draw a duck, depicted outrageously, on

one side of the folded paper.

Students, after drawing their duck, will again take a photo of their
partner. Students will reflect on the reaction produced by their
subject.

After all the photos have been taken students will discuss the activity.

The other photo station will teach students about artificial lighting techniques
Throughout both techniques students will be asked to use the costume and dress up
method as a means of dealing with camera/photography anxiety
Students will communicate with each other and notice the dialogue exchanged
between photographer and subject

Students will capture photos of their group members using the lighting
methods and stage fright fighting objectives taught by Jesse and Amanda

Snap To It

Now that weve had a chance to dive into photography and its
relationship with dialogue its time for us to go

Students, with instruction from Jesse and Amanda, will

verbally communicate with one another a critique
Critique should include aspects of the project that are both positive
and effective, as well as sections that were ineffective or could use
improvement
