Flavored Alcohol Beverage Use, Risky Drinking Behaviors, and Adverse
Outcomes Among Underage Drinkers: Results from the ABRAND Study.
American Journal of Public Health, 105(4), 810-815.
The article discusses the amount of underage drinkers by age group. There
are more underage drinkers as you increase through the age groups.
Underage drinkers tend to drink flavored alcoholic beverages, and in the
article they are separated into three different categories to see which
beverages teens prefer.
This article clearly establishes that there is a large amount of underage
drinkers and with the legal driving age being sixteen, drinking and driving
among youths is more common.

The complete prevention of drinking and driving is something that cannot be
achieved, but reducing the frequency of it and the fatalities it causes is
something that can be accomplished. The electronic book first begins with
facts about driving under the influence and driving while intoxicated.
Eventually it goes into detail about the measures we can take to prevent
impaired driving.
This book is a good contrast to the rest of the annotations because it does not
just show the negative effects of driving while under the influence, it actually
gives examples on how we can help to prevent drinking and driving.

Number
of Drinks in 2 Hours Before Driving Becomes Impaired. American Journal of
Public Health, 105(7), 1409-1414.
Research was conducted to determine whether different ethnicities had
different impairment thresholds. The study separates the groups by
ethnicity and creates three major groups of ethnicities, Whites, Blacks,
and Hispanics.
This article is good because instead of age we can use ethnicity to relate
alcohol consumption to the El Paso area. Since the area is made up of
mostly Hispanic people, we can use the Hispanic statistics from the study.

This newspaper article is specific to the El Paso area which can help
relate all the information gathered and focus it on the citizens of El
Paso. It shows examples of students that travel to Juarez, Mexico to
drink, and it also gives statistics on the high school students that
engage in drinking.
The article shows that young adults and even young teenagers cross
the border every weekend to go drinking. This article supports the
claim that many young El Paso citizens do take part in under age
drinking and from
2016 City of El Paso. Underage Drinking Initiative. Retrieved

The article has great statistics that directly relate to the El Paso area. It
also gives an example of how the legal drinking age in our sister city,
Juarez, can affect drinking and driving among teens in El Paso.
The statistics and the example given of the teens who were returning to El
Paso from Juarez give strong evidence to support the idea that the
different legal drinking age in another country can affect the driving age in
another.
