DEFINATION OF COMPUTER
Computer is an electronic device which

accepts data as input process the data as per

the instructions of the user and produce data
as output.
The word of computer comes from the word
compute, which means calculate so
computerise used as a calculating device and
also for an athematic.

ADVANTAGES OF COMPUTER
SPEED:-

The computer works internally in a very fast manner ,the speed is

measured in million instruction per second.
ACCURACY:Computer performs any job entry speed accurately.
AUTOMATIC OPERATION:Once data and program is feed to the computer it works sequentially
one after another automatically.
STORAGE:Computer can store enormous in its memory, the storage capacity is
increasing day by day with new technology.
VERSATILITY:The computer can be used per a broad range of application .
It can be used starting from space research to domestic purposes.

Now days computer are used for the following
purposes
Defence setup
Designe,testing,monitoring in the space programme.
Design new machines and equipment's scientific and
engineering calculation
Medical dinginess
Hospital managements
Banking transition
Railway, bus and airway reservation

The hardware are divided into two groups.

(a)INPUT DEVICES:Input devices are those hardware through which computer
receives data.

(b)OUTPUT DEVICES;These are the hardware through which computer transmits data.
e.g-Monitir,Printer

(A)DESKTOP;It is the background of area of our monitor
screen.
(B)ICONS;It is the small picture or graphical symbol used
to represent windows field or folder of the
screen .
