Goal Statement
Career Goal: Pediatric or Neonatal Nurse
After graduating high school, I would like to further my education by
attending a four-year university or a two-year community college, depending on
financial aid received. I would like to major in medicine. My goal is to become a
pediatric or neonatal nurse. I enjoy working with children and I can picture myself
working in the medical field helping children. A nurse is a wonderful community
helper and I am determined to become a great one. This will take many years of
challenging courses in higher education. Throughout my high school education, I
have taken courses geared towards math and science, even using some as my
electives instead of taking easy or fun classes. I have been involved in the Health
Careers Academy offered by my high school all four years. Through the HCA, I have
done numerous job shadows in the medical field and have become First Aid and CPR
certified. I feel that all these experiences will give me an advantage as I continue
my passion for science and medical courses in college. I hope to someday graduate
from a university with a medical degree. With this degree, I would hope to be an
influential community member, helping children and families with their health.
