The Quality of Higher Education: If its Not Broken, Dont Fix It:
Although online education is on the rise, traditional classes should still be valued. Even
though traditional has always been around, online education has shown great progress in
educating students. Such as when it comes to learning at your own pace and have a fair amount
of air space. Although this is true, traditional education provides students with a higher chance of
graduating, is more affordable and structured.
From a college article by Kendall Bird Online vs. Traditional Education: The answer
you never expected. Is how traditional classroom education is more beneficial from being to
communicate with your teacher and have a one on one conversation about a question or
something in general you are concerned about. A traditional on-campus setting is probably best
for you, if you know you need discipline to get work completed. This method will give you the
support and will to complete assignments and tasks on a daily basis. Providing traditional
education is always most effective when learning. Especially since you are used to going into a
class with a teacher in front giving you deadlines will motivate you although being in a class will
be effective because as a student you are directly spoken. As to if you are studying online you
might slack off and not understand, from what you would learn better from professor being their
to assist you. However in a traditional classroom has its downsides. According to Steve Lohr
On average, students in online learning conditions performed better than those receiving face-

to-face instruction. So online education will rise over the next year for future generation. Now
that technology is taking over on how we will learn.
Also when you are attending traditional online education will be more expensive. For
example in article Mass appeal by seth stutman Most online college courses can cost you more
a lot more. The average cost of an online course at UMass is about $1,200. If you take that
same course in a classroom, that same course at UMass will cost you only $246. So if you're
going to be educated why not from a teacher than a computer. Although when being taught by a
computer it would be less money because when taking traditional classroom education on
campus you have to pay for living expenses and housing. So if you took an online class it would
be more beneficial to your needs, such as if you need to be at home or you are sick you may
study online which is convenient to you. Still why pay so much when you are given a cheaper
price and attending traditional classes can higher the chances of you getting recommendations,
being able to expose yourself to people of high society that will make you more known.
When you are taking an online course you hardly will be able to talk to your instructor.
Which means less communication to understand the material and ask questions. In the New
York Times, Trouble with online college talks about how students who enroll online will fail
and fall behind than in a traditional classroom. Most students will fail from lack of discipline to
study on their own. When you are taking an online course you hardly won't be able to talk to
your instructor. Which means less communication to understand the material and ask questions.
According to Trouble with Online College by the New York Times, the author explains how
students who enroll online will fail and fall behind than in a traditional classroom. Most students
will fail from lack of discipline to study through on their own. The research has shown over and
over again that community college students who enroll in online courses are significantly more

likely to fail or withdraw than those in traditional classes, which means that they spend hardearned tuition dollars and get nothing in return. In another article from the LA Times states
Students under age 25, Latinos, blacks and part-time students or those who needed remedial
courses all performed worse in online classes than other groups that. Online education does have
its benefits such as being able to handle your own time. Being educated and not worry about
missing a class, like in article from Rasmussen college's states Learning through online video
can help you to focus more on independently learning and your classes may even go quicker
without some of the distractions of a traditional classroom education. Although traditional has
its perks when it come to one on one learning.
Technology has proven online education provides a higher chance to graduate, it is more
affordable and much more structured. The higher chance to graduate is made clearly evident by
Kendall Bird by getting the help you need to complete assignments. Then the cost of traditional
is more beneficial with financial needs stated by Seth Stutman. Another well known source the
New York Time expressing online education can not beat traditional learning when its comes to
learning the content needed. So traditional education, more efficient for any student.
