Recommendation for a Diversity Policy


Part One: Below is the Non-discrimination statement of CMCSS. It states the no school in the
Clarksville-Montgomery County School Systems will discriminate any person or treat them
unlawfully.
It is the policy of the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System not to discriminate
against any student, employee, or applicant on the basis of sex, marital status, race, color, creed,
national origin, religion, age, genetic information, sexual orientation, disability condition, or
veteran status. The district will ensure that no student be excluded from participating in or having
access to any course offerings, student athletics, counseling services, employment assistance,
extracurricular activities, or other school resources which is based on unlawful discrimination.
CMCSS will take all necessary steps to ensure that each employees work environment is free of
unlawful discrimination. No office, administrator or employee of CMCSS, including any persons
representing CMCSS, shall intimidate, threaten, harass, coerce, discriminate against, or commit
or seek reprisal against anyone who participates in any aspect of the discrimination complaint
process associated with this policy (Ref. HUM-P010).

Below are the Non-discrimination statements of Westwood High School in Fort Pierce Florida
they are stating that they will not tolerate any unlawful discrimination between the faculty or the
students .
It is the policy of the School Board of Saint Lucie County to offer the opportunity to students to
Participate in appropriate programs and activities without regard to race, color, religion,
National Origin, sex, and/or handicap.

It is the policy of the School Board of Saint Lucie County not to discriminate against employees
or applicants for employment on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, marital
status, age, or handicap. Sexual harassment is a form of employee misconduct that undermines

the integrity of the employment relationship, and is prohibited. This policy shall apply to
recruitment, employment, transfers, compensation, and other terms and conditions of
employment.
