Bullying Reflection

Bullying has grown to be more prominent in schools from the time I was in elementary. As a
teacher it is important to create a safe environment for all of my students. I know that I must be
mindful of my classroom dynamic ensuring that my students are treating each other with respect.
The supervision of my students must be active and effective because this is the first step in
preventing bullying amongst my students. Being proactive about the subject can also make my
students aware that bullying does exist and is something that shouldnt be taken lightly. I would
encourage them to speak up when they see something occurring that isnt right. As a teacher I
would want to instill in my students to advocate for not only themselves but for others. We
should teach our students that bullying stops with them.
