An Inspiring Story
Many companies wanted to be better than
Google. Google had scanned 4 billion
pages .
Microsoft decided to beat Google and
planned to announce that they have
scanned 5 billion pages.
Few hours before Microsofts announcement,
Google announced that they had scanned 8
billion pages which is almost the entire web!
Impact
Helped Google decide how to put ads on
its pages, which ads, and how many
ads. This has helped them become a
profitable company
Meritocracy, not
persuasion
Belief
Great just isnt good enough. - We
see being great at something as a
starting point, not an endpoint...
Persuasion offends Google's and
Page's meritocratic beliefs.
Meritocracy, Not
Persuassion
Impact
Biggest search engine in the world because its
the best.
Google is an advertising company that doesn't
advertise (much).
However, many of Google's advances go
unnoticed by the public because nobody hears
about them.
