This Unicorn Earflap Hat is perfect for children both old and young. Make one for Halloween or other
costumed event ... or just for fun! If you dont want a unicorn hat (who wouldnt!?!?), you can skip all of the
embellishments for a great basic earflap hat that requires just one skein of super soft Malabrigo Rasta.

stitch guide:
Provisional Cast On:
with crochet hook and scrap yarn make a
chain with more links than the number of
cast on stitches required. Pick up sitches
into the butt of the chain by inserting your
needle into the bumps on the underside of
the chain links. When youre ready to knit the
provisional stitches, undo the crochet chain
and unravel it placing the live stitches back on
your needle as you go.
Knit two together (K2tog):
Insert your right needle tip into the next two
stitches and knit them together as one stitch
(one stitch decreased).
Slip, slip knit (SSK):
Slip next two stitches knitwise, insert left
needle tip into the front legs of the slipped
stitches, wrap yarn around the right needle tip
and knit the two stitches together from this
position (one stitch decreased).
