Post-lesson review and evaluation 2:

Student achievement:
- The student achievement varied amongst the group 2 students. (Refer to assessment grid).
- Some students were able to present the correct time on the clocks therefore positioning the
hour hand correctly as well.
- Other students nearly positioned the times correctly however did not place the hour hand
correctly as they always placed the hour hand directly on the number rather than past it.
- Lastly, a couple of students either did not know how to display the time or did not have any
interest in doing the task as they were distracted and therefore did not successfully complete
the task.
Teaching effectiveness:
- My teaching approach proved to be successful to an extent as some students benefited greatly
from this lesson.
- Some students proved to have poor involvement and therefore required more one on one
attention.
- Whilst working on the worksheets, I should have demonstrated an example of how to fill out a
clock to scaffold the understanding of placing the hour hand on the clocks.
- However, the students had a variety of opportunities to be involved in the lesson and therefore
creating opportunities for success in this learning experience.
