Prayer Development

A. Theme- Trusting in God

B. Bible Verse- My soul rests in God alone, from whom comes my salvation. God alone is
my rock and salvation, my fortress; I shall never fall. (Psalm 62:1 OT)

C. Reflection- There are many times when its easy to trust in God, to rejoice in his
salvation because he has been good to us. Yet, there are many other times when life is
hard, when sadness and suffering fills us and we wonder if God is even there for us.

We must remember that trusting in God is simply believing that He loves you, He
wants to help you, and He has the power to help you. Christians are called believers, but
many times we are more like unbelieving believers. How do we trust our friends, gossip,
parents, and other people and things more than we actually trust in God and His word
himself? Jesus, who lived a sinless life, loves us so much that He died for our sins. If you
truly believe and trust this in your heart, receiving Jesus as your savior, you will spend
eternity with God in heaven. If you trust in God alone, you will never be let down.

D. PrayerDear God,
I choose to put my trust in you.
I believe you are with me.
Give me the strength to never doubt you.
Teach me to trust in your presence.
Remind me that with you, I will never fall.
When I feel stressed out, make me aware that you are always with me and that you will
provide for me my needs; you know what is best for me.
Amen.
