common position toward abortion. The non stop debate on abortion is further limiting and
putting womens rights in constant danger. Multiple laws in various areas make it difficult for
women to gain access to an abortion.Anotherissuethathoversisthefactthatsomebelieveonly
certain circumstances make it right to abort a fetus. Many sources suggest factual evidence that
proves pro choice is the best way to go about abortion. Any woman, at any time during a
pregnancy, under any circumstances should possess thechoiceofabortingherfetusbecauseitis
asafeprocedure,awomansright,andthefetusisunknowing.

Although abortion may seem risky with the possibility of harm toward women involved , its

simplicity seems to go unnoticed on the behalf of many. The AMA argues ,Abortionisoneof
the safest medical procedures in the United States. This statement is further supported by the
fact that women are at fourteen timesmoreofariskwhilegivingbirththanwhileundergoingan
abortion. The procedure of an abortion also holds aninfectionratethatfallsshortofonepercent
of those who choose to get an abortion. Advances in technology over time have made abortion
procedures safer than ever before. With correct medical or surgical needs an abortion should
leadtonothingotherthanasuccessfulterminationofapregnancy.

Another aspect of abortions that is frowned upon is the dependency on women to make the
right choice and to maintain a stable mindset throughout the whole process. Donna Schaper

states , Women are capable of making soulful, moral decisions about their own bodies .
Thinking down on womens capability tomakedecisionsoftheirownisonlydemeaningtoward
them and makes their situation worsen. Many steer women away from abortions but have no
problem leading them to various alternate medical pregnancy termination options. Medical
termination of a pregnancy can have multiple side effects such as ,gastrointestinal discomfort
(cramps, nausea and diarrhea) and dizziness, weakness, chills and headaches says Carol King.
Although surgical abortion has less side effectspeopleofantichoicehavestillmanagedtoscare
womentowardthepotentiallyharmfulmedicalabortingprocess.

Some experts argue that abortion is too deep, emotional, and painful to be rightnomatterthe
circumstances or conditions.
Rob Schwarzwalder suggests , The zygote is composedofhuman
DNA and other human molecules, so its nature is undeniably human and not some other
species. Schwarzwalder is evidently trying to get the point across that a zygote is a form of
fully human life and that the termination of a pregnancy is ultimately killing a person.
Scientific research proves that the fusionofhumanspermwithaneggistheofficialintroduction
of a new living organism. The argument that thepossessionofuniqueDNAestablishesazygote
asanofficialformofbiologicalhumanlifealsoarisesofteninSchwarzwaldersmentions.

Although considered a form of multicellular life a fetus is still yet to be born and fully
developed with a well functioning consciousness. It is morally unacceptable to end the life of a
human , but thatofafetus shouldnotbecriticizedorlookeddownupon.Abortingafetusisvery
similar tohavingprotectedsexinthewaythatitpreventsthebirthofhumanlife.Avastmajority

of the human population influences , encourages and even advertises protected sex without the
knowledge of it being almost completely parallel to the operation of an abortion. Lots of
arguments of prolife state that the procedure of an abortion is morally incorrect and inhumane
but cease to do so on the behalf of protected sex. Many may arguethatprotectedsexishumane
due to the fact that no life is ended , but the fact that before birth the fetus contains no
physiologicalattributesofabirthedhumancounterstheirargumentcompletely.

The world population is continuously progressing toward the limitation and possible deletion
of womens rights that should not even be arguable. False statements along with irrelevance
drives those of prochoice as it is some form of manipulation. No good results have surfaced
from this , seems to be forever lasting , debate on abortion , but has only been demeaning to
nearly all women. The world needs to come to a realization of actuality and return to times of
peace and better knowledge. Results of this unification will include not only unity but also the
rightsofwomenthataredistinctlydeserved.
