To Whom it May Concern, I would like to recommend Grace Cosentino for any science teaching position in your district. Ms. Cosentino was my student teacher for the 2015-2016 school year, teaching along side me for my 6th grade science classes. Ms. Cosentino and I co planned many lessons together, incorporating new NGSS science standards into our curriculum. She planned well thought out, multi-layered lessons that fit together into full complex units. She included multiple ways to introduce the curriculum, using videos, manipulative, hands on regalia and relevant primary and secondary documents. The homework she included was relevant and manageable. Her knowledge and dedication to providing what the students need, and her ability to challenge them, is admirable. Her classroom management is wonderful as well. She is flexible and fair. She engages the students, getting them excited about science and yet can quiet them instantly if needed. My students work hard for Ms. Cosentino. They respect her and want to challenge themselves to win her approval. She is constantly consistent. I have never seen her flustered or frustrated in the classroom while teaching. Her professionalism is commendable. Ms. Cosentino has attended department meetings, staff meeting, most of the school events, including the school plays, and a three day Outdoor Ed field trip. Her dedication and commitment is astounding. She gets along with the students, other teachers, administration, classified staff and parents exceedingly well. I highly recommend Ms. Cosentino for any teaching position, as it has been my pleasure to work with her on a daily basis. She has made me a much better teacher, bringing new ideas, enthusiasm and a love for both learning and teaching as well into my classroom. Sincerely, Pamela Murray Mentor Teacher Altimira Middle School

Dear Hiring Committee Members,
It is with great pleasure and complete confidence that I write this letter of support for Grace Cosentino. Grace was a teacher candidate in my classroom for the Fall of 2015 and part of the winter of 2016. Her role at that time was primarily as an observer, but she quickly became an engaged worker in the classroom. Grace is naturally comfortable with students and easily stepped up to the roles of researcher, tutor, collaborator and teacher in the classroom. As schools roll out Common Core Curriculum, there are many new methodologies and curricular needs, which Grace investigated and initiated our use in the classroom. A selfprofessed science nerd, Grace was very adept at providing a plan and creative lessons aimed at achieving stated objectives in our 6th and 7th grade classes. During the time Grace took over all instructional duties, she had great classroom control, engaged students with provocative questioning, interesting curriculum that connected with students lives, and her own enthusiasm for the subject matter. Her pacing was excellent, and she made sure to employ multiple learning modalities wherever possible. There were times, Ill admit, that I stuck her with some of the more mundane tasks of teaching, such as grading, recording and filing. Grace did all these with speed and spirit, showing appreciation for efficiency in the classroom, while being sure to keep the focus on students and learning. She has a great knack for guiding and evaluating student writing for clarity and accurate expression of concepts or arguments with supporting facts. Grace makes learning fun. She is enthusiastic, dedicated, demanding, comforting, and able to treat students as individuals, even in a class of 30+. Among our staff, she quickly became a known and appreciated part of our teaching program. I know she will be a wonderful addition to the educational setting of any school! Sincerely, Eric Fessenden 6th and 7th Grade Science Teacher Altimira Middle School
