1. Do you feel that technology was used effectively in this lesson?

Please explain.
The technology was effective in delivering this lesson, as it allowed the
student to interact with the teacher and included several resources as
additional tools for teaching the content and encouraging the students
thought and interaction. The use of this technology also provided the
opportunity for the teacher to check the students engagement, offer him
immediate feedback and provide additional information or explanations
where necessary.
2. Does the technology that I am using make learning more fun and
meaningful for my students? Please explain
The use of this technology meant that a variety of additional resources could
be used to engage the students and reiterate the lesson content, while
making the lesson more fun. The ability to modify the resources according to
the students needs and responses, as well as provide immediate feedback
to his response, made this technology more meaningful. The positive
interaction between the teacher and the student at the beginning of the
lesson allows the two stakeholders to build a positive relationship, which will
make this lesson and future lessons more meaningful and fun.
3. Do you believe the technology used (skype) allowed for a clear
and concise online lesson? Please explain
Based on my observation of the lesson, the teacher and student were able to
clearly interact with each other and engage with the resources throughout
the lesson. The selection of resources allowed the teacher to manipulate it
where appropriate, however it did not replace the teacher; it was used as a
tool that still allowed the teacher to teach the content.
4. Do you feel the content of the lesson was delivered effectively
e.g. engaged the learner, equip them with new knowledge,
developed and built upon background knowledge? Please explain
I believe that the delivery of this lesson was effective. The students was able
to engage with the teacher both visually and audibly and the teacher could
check the students level of engagement and adjust an element of the lesson
appropriately, such as the teachers delivery of the content or resources
displayed. The variety of resources provided different mediums to stimulate
the students learning and increase his level of engagement. The student
was equipped with additional knowledge and vocabulary that would be
beneficial for him as it relates to his profession.
5. How could this lesson be further improved?

This lesson could be improved be providing more real-world examples. Although

there are resources that provide an opportunity for the student to build his
knowledge and vocabulary relating to his profession, there are few opportunities for
the student to build and extend on their knowledge of vocabulary used in daily
activities and interactions.
