Your salary mostly depends on where you have placed your Pooja Ghar
(praying room). As per vastu, the pooja ghar should always be in NorthWest direction of your house. And if your pooja ghar is placed in some
other direction then while drinking water always face in North-West
direction.
Never let tap water flow or leak unnecessarily. Hang Radha-Krishna
picture in your bedroom. Use horses shoe on the main door of your
house. Try and take the water supply in your house from North-West
direction and always eat food in South-West direction.
Place your head in South direction, while your legs in North direction

these bring bad luck in the house. The idols of these two Gods should
always be in the sitting position. Keeping Gods idol which is more than
10 inches is considered inauspicious. Also, too many idols in your puja
ghar (place of worship) is not necessary.
Temple should always be placed higher so that God feet must come to
the level of devotees chest. Always keep some insulation while praying
or sitting in the temple such as mat or carpet. Home temple is ideal in
wood while marble constructed temples are also considered appropriate.
Wooden temples should always have dome at the top. Do not keep
temple on the floor directly because this means disrespect of Gods.
Always lay some foundation before keeping the temple on it.
Dia in the temple should be lit in Southeast. Do no keep late ancestors
picture in home temple because this way we only disrespecting God and
cosmos. Home temple should be ideally placed in North-east corner
which is also known as Ishaan corner and alternative is East which
means placing in East facing West.
The Lord idols should be placed in the east and the west of the Puja
mandir. The faces of the Lord should not be in the south. Lamp stand
should be in the south-east or east corner of the puja room. The color of
the walls of the Puja room should be white, light yellow or light blue. The
floor should be of either white or light yellow color.
The Lords idols in the puja room should not be damaged in any form.

1. Garbhadan The first coming together of the husband & wife for bringing about
conception.
2. Pumsvan Ceremony performed when the first signs of conception are seen, and is to be
performed when someone desires a male child.
3. Seemantonayan A ceremony of parting of the hairs of the expectant mother to keep her
spirits high & positive. Special music is arranged for her.
4. Jatakarma After the birth of the child, the child is given a secret name, he is given taste of
honey & ghee, mother starts the first breast-feeding after chanting of a mantra.
5. Nama-karana In this ceremony the child is given a formal name. Performed on the 11th
day.
6. Nishkramana In this the formal darshan of sun & moon is done for the child.
7. Annaprashana This ceremony is performed, when the child is given solid food (anna) for
the first time.
8. Chudakarana Cuda means the 'lock or tuft of hair' kept after the remaining part is shaved
off.
9. Karna-vedha Done in 7th or 8th month. Piercing of the ears.
10. Upanayan & Vedarambha The thread ceremony. The child is thereafter authorized to
perform all rituals. Studies of Vedas begins with the Guru.
11. Keshanta Hairs are cut, guru dakshina is given
