Manual Driver Installation

1.

Open the driver zip file, typically labelled

PL2303_Prolific_DriverInstaller_vX_X_X.zip

2.

Double-click the installer file, labelled

PL2303_Prolific_DriverInstaller_vX_X_X.exe or
similar.

3.

If prompted by Windows to authorize the program,

click Yes.

4.

Click Next to begin the installation.

5.

Once installation is complete, click Finish to close

the installer.

Follow the steps below to rectify the problem.

Restart Windows.

Getting the Driver

Once Windows has loaded, connect the PC node. A

popup notification will appear identifying it as a
Prolific USB-to-Serial Comm Port.

8.

The PC node is now ready for use.

The first time the DTK622-USB PC node is connected to the

PC, Windows will attempt to download and install the driver
automatically. If successful, the DTK622-USB will be
displayed in the Device Manager under:
Ports (COM & LPT) Prolific USB-to-Serial Comm Port
If the automated internet installation is unsuccessful, a
warning icon will be visible in the Device Manager with a
yellow exclamation mark under
Other Adaptors USB-Serial Controller

The Prolific P2303TA driver can be installed from the USB

drive supplied with the PC node, or downloaded from the
Dynalite Distributor Site: https://www.dynalite.org/

Checking the driver version

1.

Open Control Panel Device Manager.

2.

Expand Ports (COM & LPT), right click Prolific

USB-to-Serial Comm Port and select Properties.

3.

Click the Driver tab to see Driver Version

information.
