OUR STORY
History
RC Deft Missions was founded by Mr Mario

RC represents Regina Coeli, the name of an
old woman whose selflessness in helping the
disadvantaged inspired Ms Agnes.

Mr. Peter Lau Yok Ung

(Senior Deaf Graphic Designer, Coordinator of
Deaf Art outreach)

RC Deaf Missions Malaysia is focused on

instilling in the deaf the can-do attitude.
They also focus on empowering the deaf
so that they could build a career and have
an independent life, like hearing people.

Ms Shireen who creates products by crochet making for RC Deaf Missions was born
deaf. She has a full office job and has worked
part-time for RC Deaf Missions Malaysia
since July 2015. With much support from Ms
Agnes Peters, she decided to proceed with
improving her crochet making skills and creating beautiful crochet items which are sold
by RC Deaf Missions.

Although he was born deaf,, he only found
out about it when he attended deaf school.
James believes that the sign language interpreter plays a crucial role in the deaf culture
as it bridges the gap between the hearing and
the deaf. After all, the deaf are still able to do
things that hearing people can do; the only
difference is that they communicate through
sign language.
