Introduction paragraph, including thesis statement:
INDENT Hook:There is so much to fear as a freshman, but only one that needs to be addressed. This fear is the one
that tops them all. Academics are extremely important. But it can bring along a dark cloud of stress trying to keep it
up.________________________________________________________________________________

Bridge:(Sent.2-4) First off being a Freshman is not easy what-so-ever. There is so much stress of starting class, to
leaving it, to even being late to next bell. We have to deal with distressed teachers, my angry parents, and even my
guidance counselor. Overall that means that this isnt a healthy lifestyle. Children my age are now drinking energy
drinks, sodas, and even coffee early in the morning. And its all just to stay focused in school. These beverages are not
only unhealthy, but also can deprive them of their focus, and can stress them out even more. The sugar in those drinks
can make a child hyper and overactive. Not knowing that when that sugar rush is over, all that stress and low energy
comes back. Studies show that academic stress mostly comes from loads and loads of homework and exams. Recent
studies also show that stress is not only bad for humans, but can also be
deadly._______________________________________________________________________________

Thesis: Being academically stressed isnt good. It can actually make someone more unfocused than they normally
would be. Even at the expense of trying to relax would be
stressful._______________________________________________________________________________

mostly comes from loads and loads of homework and exams. Recent studies also show that stress is not only bad for
humans, but can also be deadly. It isnt enough just to pass a class, most children nowadays want earn their Advanced
studies diploma. Not only is that challenging, but its also frustrating. And being Valedictorian is austere. Some teachers
dont seem to understand; they only want their work on time, and in the grade book. Then other teachers try to help
their students do better, eventually they do, but at a cost, which leads to make-up work. Make-up work or other known
as Extra Credit. This all leads up to teens staying up all night trying to boost their grades. Being academically stressed
isnt good. It can actually make someone more unfocused than they normally would be. Even at the expense of trying
to relax would be
