ARCHETYPE HYPE

PROJECT
Grady, Jovanni, Zaire, Morgan

Introduction;
We were assigned white lion: which is the region of Europe
and Russia. At first we thought very little of the area we were
assigned. As we began to research online and in text we found
that we had a very vast amount of gods, goddesses and
mythological creatures that fit some of the specific archetypes
we were assigned. Including some of the myths we used in
the project there were far more. we were surprised to find out
that many of the character archetypes we found we were
already familiar with.

CHARACTER
ARCHETYPE: WITCH
:MORGAN LE FAY
Morgan DeCastro

Introduction:
As I searched through each individual text book looking for someone I would be interested
in doing my project on I came across Morgan Le Fay. The first thing that lured me in was
her name it was the same as mine and I was interested in discovering more about her and
what she stood for. In the first book I looked in she was depicted as a simple, confident,
beautiful and wise queen of Avalon, or thats what I thought. I then researched deeper and
deeper into her story, background, and history the pieces of the puzzle came together and
depicted her as a witch and or sorceress. The first time I saw a picture of her she was
holding a pole of some sort in here hand which to me looked like a scepter used for ruling,
but in this case it was a wand. There are many different ways to depict her in many
different cultures, that was the one thing that was the most difficult for me in this project.
Overall learned a lot about her and some of her twisted ways and or habits.

CHARACTER ARCHETYPE: HERO:

THOR

Zaire Taylor

Introduction:

When we were assigned this archetype hype project I was given the role of
a hero. There are many heroes but amongst them all I chose Thor. Thor was
all about having power like his father Odin. He struck the mouths of those
who seemed to be against him. When began the research the one that
stands out to me about Thor is his weapon. His hammer symbolized power
and control. He can summon lightning from the sky which shows his
relations with the gods. He carries it into every battle he approaches. Ive
learned a lot about my character during this project and my researching
skills have also improved.

Character:

Son of Odin
God of thunder
Controls
weather and
crops
Uses killing to
solve all his
problems

Symbol:

Thors weapon
symbolizes his authority
and power.
He carries it into battle
and it shows that the
gods are with him.

CHARACTER
ARCHETYPE: FATHER:

ODIN

Grady Newhall

Introduction:
For my character archetype I chose the father figure. Out of all the father figures I
chose Odin. He is a leader and a very powerful man. Odin was a war leader as well
as the god of the gods. Everyone looked up to him and believed everything he said.
He also had a spear that could determine the outcome of a battle by witch way it
went when he threw it. But his most important possession he had was an 8 legged
horse names Sleipnir. As well as everything else he also was the giver of wisdom.

Character:
One of Odins countless
names is Allfather,
because according to
Snorri Sturluson he is
the father of all of the
gods. And, as weve
already noted that Odin
is listed as the divine
ancestor of countless
families from all over
northern Europe.

Symbol:

Sleipner was an 8
legged horse that Odin
rode through the nine
worlds. Sleipner was
born when the king Loki
became pregnant by a
stallion of a giant.

CHARACTER
ARCHETYPES: VILLAIN:
VAMPIRES
JoVanni Sessoms

Introduction :
After looking through many different villain archetypes I found the Vampire the
most interesting. I choose the vampire because they are very interesting and evil
creatures. They were mostly talked about in Europe. Many people didnt want to be
around them and very terrified of what the vampire would do to them. The most
interesting thing about the vampire is the stories that go around about them.
Their fangs symbolizes intimidation and fear. The vampire has beyond human
strength and can survive many different life times. This project helped me learn
more about the mythical vampire and improved my skills of finding information.

The vampire represents

this archetype perfect.
Being a vampire means
your literally the walking

that vampires died the
during the day and came
alive at night.
