Floating Penny Lab - Data Collection and Analysis


Put on gloves and goggles and carefully remove the penny using
forceps.
rinse the penny over the cup/beaker with the water bottle and place
on a paper towel
gently pour the remaining solution down the drain
plastic cup? throw it away (glass beaker - return it)
turn on the water and rinse the sink out with water
Any spills? Notify your instructor who will help clean them up with
baking soda.
Find the mass of the remaining metal/penny
Use this mass along with the original mass to form a conclusion
(revisit purpose statement).
If no penny is remaining, why do you think that is? What happened?
