THE RITE OF MARRIAGE

INTRODUCTORY RITES
Commentator: Good afternoon, brothers and sisters. Today, we gather as a commu
nity to participate in the Holy Eucharist and to witness the celebration of the
Sacrament of Marriage between Sherwin and Abbie. Let us all stand to welcome
the Mass Celebrant, Rev. Fr. Renie Oliver.
Priest: In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
All: Amen.
Priest: The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion
of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
All: And with your spirit.
Priest: Dear brothers and sisters, we are gathered to celebrate the Holy Eucharist
and to witness the Sacrament of Marriage between Sherwin and Abbie. As their
Christian Family, we remind them that they are called to a life of holiness and
fidelity as husband and wife. Let us rejoice with them and ask Gods blessing for
their and their future children.
