a) Swing-out the button track unit away fron the sewing head by first
t'eleasing the larqe Hand Screw beneath the unit (under the table).
(be sure to press the claup Leg swivel Lever to elear the clanp
Fost when retrrrninq the Button Tr.aek Unit).

b) Before inserting a button by hand, see that the channel of the


ser+ing-clanp Rail is eentrally located to the needle and that the
space between the two is 0.5 nn when the needle pesses at itE
closest side.

F'ress down the sewing head stop-shaft (extrere rear of sewing head)
and rotate the dr"ive pultey to see the needle descend. continue
for E or 3 stitehes whilst holding down the stop-shaft.
Release the stop-shaft, continue to tupn the pulley and note that
the needle lrlusr align centrarly with the sewing clamp rail
channel. Rdjust the Clanp Assenbly posit.ioninq screws.

autsuatieally "diBable" the nachine fron sewing, even if the

The Eetting of this detector has been made at our works, and will
require no further adjusting.

After eetting the buttons to the Boul, you noy need to set the
Track to accomodate the buttons.
There are baslcally tvo factors rhich need to be obeerved,

1) tlhilst operatinq the maehine autonaticallyn it iE necessary to


renove the sewn button between the rorent of IIIACHINE STOF,and
the RE-CLOSINE of the CLAI{F, LEE of the Eewing claap. If the
button has not been removed in this period (about l/P second),
the next button wilI NOT be inserted autonatieally, and the
operator,s foot pedal will be disabled. As a result, the
CLAIIP LEG SI",ML LEVER (sheet c) rust he pressed by hand to
