Introduction

Textile and garments sector is the biggest and fastest growing sector in Bangladesh. It is also
the highest foreign currency earning sector in Bangladesh. Among this sector, Knit garment is
growing very rapidly due to smaller investment requirement, greater backward linkage
facility & higher profit than woven garments. Thats why export of knit garments is
increasing steadily for last few years and up to now.
Being the biggest contributor to the country's foreign exchange- around 76 percent- and
employing around 2.2 million people, 80 percent of them women, the importance of nurturing
a sector as vibrant and thriving as the garments industry, cannot be emphasized enough. With
export of Ready Made Garments (RMG) reaching 9.2 billion in 2007 and predictions of it
rising to 12 billion or more in the next two years, it is obvious that the industry is growing at
an exponential speed.
Comfit Composite knit Ltd, a 100 % export oriented composite knit textile unit established
with the commitment to cater the Global needs for knit and casual clothing. The Project has
employed the State-of-Art technology in its every piece of investments. Aiming at the context
of the changing Global demand pattern, international environment on trade specially the
withdrawal of quota system and GSP and the availability of craftsmanship in the country, the
project encompassed the Knitting, Dyeing and Processing of fabrics and Ready-made
Garments production to be available from one stop service. The Project ensures sampling to
supply of finished RMG all from one source, ensuing in time delivery and complying quality.
The machines and equipments setup for these projects are procured from world-class brand,
names renowned for their high quality, product integrity and dependable production.
The Project is a new and one established in 2006, but the manpower engaged in the Projects
to carry out the day to day business are all highly skilled, purely professional, vastly
experienced. The unique combination of organized Managerial and Technical team in one
hand and latest, advanced and balanced technology on the other hand made the project one of
the top to be referred in this field in the Country. The best use of continuous development of
Human Resources by providing them International Standard Environment and equal

Any reports needs high degree of involvement regarding collection of information, creation

Composite Knit Limited, we face some limitations which hindrance our task, such as: Larger
samples were not collected due to the job task of the workers and they have an illusory fear of
being intimated by the employers, if the facts about their garment industries are disclosed.

Location Analysis
The Project is located in Gorai, Mirzapur under the District of Tangail, about 50 kilometer
distance from the International Airport of Dhaka, Bangladesh. A well developed Road
Communication is there to reach the factory from the Airport as well as from the Dhaka City.
The Head office of the Project is Located in the heart of Dhaka City in Mirpur. CCKL is
established in a 45 Acores land premises and in a 250,000 square feet total industrial building
area.

Equipment
Within the complex facilities, utilities, and equipment (F/E/U) in Comfit Composite Knit
Limited (CCKL), a line in the sand needs to be drawn between GMP-critical and businesscritical. While the process for identification has been discussed before, the following are the
differences between a GMP-critical and business-critical F/E/U, including the respective
change management.
GMP-critical F/E/U have a direct impact on the safety, identify, potency-strength, quality.
Business-critical F/E/U are those elements that affect the ability to manufacture and operate
efficiently; such as boilers, plant steam, compressed air; or elements that affect customer
satisfaction; such as cosmetic defects, failures in deliver on time, and missing promotional
material.

from (40/1) to (20/1) Ne.
