Remember the movie called War of the Worlds. Starring famous actor Tom Cruise.

The movie is about aliens trying to invade the earth. There is so many movies for an
example like invaders from Mars, Godzilla, Independence day and many more. All
this relates and made us imagine the life outside the earth. Something we called
aliens and martians or whatever we want to call but its all about something that is
out of this world.
At some point there have a big news saying that the people saw mysterious flying
objects (UFO) lingering around their backyards. Is it true or does people create a
story about this. There is an evidence that support this statement regarding the
truth of aliens do exist and are watching us. But the real fact is people didnt truly
encounter this living creatures directly.
When we talk about scence fiction we also imagined the film Star Trek. We can
imagined a very sophiscated machine and gadgetry used by humans in the future.
Exploring all the planets just using one big spaceships and can just teleport from
another place to another very easily and fast. Our mind thinks its possible for
human to do all of this imaginery. Is it possible? Scince already tell us that its
possible to do the impossible. Its a matter of time when human can done all this
imaginative things.
In the latest movie, The Martian, one of the hit films of 2015, Nasa heroically saves
a stranded astronaut with a little help from international partners and a lot of
human ingenuity. Directed by Ridley Scott, the movie is visually beautiful, and
provides nail-biting entertainment. But it also highlights what humans can
accomplish when we put our minds to it, and like Stanley Kubrick's 1968
masterpiece, 2001: A Space Odyssey, it offers a glimpse into what the future of
space exploration could look like.
Nasa provided some technical guidance during the production of the movie, and
many of the scenes showcased technologies that we are working on today, from
advanced spacesuits to methods for growing food in space. These technologies
could one day be used to explore Mars in real life. Nasa has set the ambitious goal
of sending humans to Mars by the mid-2030s. In a recently released report, "Nasa's
Journey to Mars: Pioneering Next Steps in Space Exploration", we outline what
humankind must do to get there. The steps include continued research on the
International Space Station (ISS), and then moving humans beyond low Earth orbit
to what we call "the proving ground" - the region of space near the Moon. This will
allow us to push the limits of our capabilities in a place from which astronauts can
safely return home in a few days.
There is one thing The Martian got wrong. Unlike in the film not to mention Nasa's
real-life exploration of the Moon, human exploration of Mars will not be a Nasa
dominated endeavour. On the contrary, people and resources from around the world
will contribute to preparations to send humans to Mars, and the journey itself will be
pursued in partnership with other countries' space agencies and with the help of the
private sector. Already, agencies from around the world are working together to
expand our knowledge of space and the solar system. Tens of thousands of people
from 15 countries have been involved in developing and operating the ISS. In
addition to developing the technology needed to explore our solar system, we are

carrying out critical research on how to keep humans healthy in space for long
periods, while mitigating health risks such as loss of bone density and muscle
atrophy.
Sci-fi, short form of science fiction is a genre of speculative fiction dealing with
imaginative concepts such as futuristic settings, futuristic science and technology,
space travel, time travel, faster than light travel, parallel universes and
extraterrestrial life. NASAs attempt on exploring the Mars referes as sci-fi because
it involve human trying to do the impossible and very sophiscated method by using
technology and science. The generic conventions used is like space travel, solar
system, methods to keep humans healthy in space for a long time, and also their
overall health condition when they are in space.
The statement "Nasa's Journey to Mars: Pioneering Next Steps in Space Exploration"
proves that the scientist are readying themselves to uncover the truth of this
impossible mission. Journey to Mars. It will surely took a lot of funding and energy of
humankind to make this imaginative things to become a reality and NASA are very
confident that their hard work will be paid off. Their effort will surely be a motivation
to other countries also for them to do research in this kind of sophiscated
technology. And likewise to unite them to made this impossible mission become
possible.
