Operational Supervisor

Demonstrates expert knowledge and skills in wound care management.

Womens Health Unit
Ability to assist, assess and monitor a patient in labor.
Attaches and interprets CTG readings and intervene accurately;
Identifies, interprets, manages, and troubleshoots critical results in obstetric emergencies or
crisis.
Labor and Delivery
Be NRP certified and competency to follow algorithm.
Be competent in abdominal palpation (Leopolds Maneouver).
Be competent in performing a vaginal examination.
Be competent in CTG monitoring and interpretation.
Be competent in partogram documentation.
Be knowledgeable of signs and symptoms of obstetric emergencies.
Be competent in monitoring stages of labor.
Pediatric Unit
Ability to perform age appropriate assessments according to developmental milestones
expected.
PICU
Nursery
Ability to apply age-appropriate assessment and development plan.
NRP certification and competency to follow algorithm.
NICU
Able to rotate as NRP responder (will carry Bravo phone at all times during her/his shift and
shall respond to all codes accordingly).
Ability to apply age-appropriate assessment and apply the Neonatal Individualized
Developmental Care Program.
NRP certification and competency to follow algorithm.
Assists in insertion/ management of peripheral lines such as arterial line, PICC line, central
venous line and umbilical venous/arterial lines.
Interprets basic x- rays, and blood gases (ABG, CBG, VBG)
Assists in endo/orotracheal intubation
Monitors and manage intracranial pressure and extra ventricular device.
Suctions the neonatal patient using manual or closed suctioning.
Management of patients who are mechanically ventilated.
Operating Room
Checks peripheral IV, assesses infusaports, administers medications, monitors vital signs.
Administers and oversees intravenous injections of contrast medium.
Administers any required medications and light sedation when used.
Liaises with anesthetists in delivering care to patients.
Provides anesthetic assistance when patients need to be drowsy (sedated) or asleep (using
general anesthesia) during the procedure.
Assists radiologists during therapeutic and diagnostic procedures and provides nursing skills,
including assisting radiologists during interventional procedures, both as scrub and circulating
nurse.
Liaises with floor nurses, enabling the continuity of care and to have a good knowledge to
inform both floor nurses and patients of specific requirements needed before and after the
procedure.
Informs the technologist or radiologist of any unusual patient needs and performs specialized
nursing duties, such as administering IV sedation or analgesia during special procedures and
closely monitoring patients with cardiac/pulse oximeters.
