Chapter Title: Observing Reading Behaviors

Presenters: Silvia Macias, Graciela Montes, Amanda Smith, and Sofa Bravo
Description of presentation (brief summary of the chapter plus activities
used from appendixes and/or Already Ready book). Please, include at least
one photo/video.
Assessment is a daily basis activity. This could be formal or informal.
Observing our children is important as part of our job. Through observation
we are able to assess childrens learning. The book mentions your best tools
are your own eyes and ears. In order to see evidence, children should be
exposed in different literacy activities.
This chapter offers some systematic assessments that could be used through
out the year during different activities such as Interactive Read-Aloud,
Shared Reading, and Independent Book Experiences.
