INTERNAL MEMORANDUM

FROM: Deputy Director of Works

Director of Works

Sir, we have assessed the situation.

The original building was a 3 bedroom and a study. It also has two-room boys
quarters and a garage. The building was then partitioned for two occupants.
At the time of moving in, the two room boys quarter was in the side of 3A and
shared one room for each occupants. The occupant of 3A in addition is to have
the garage. However, because of the location of the boys quarter, there was a
problem of accessibility as the occupants of 3B need to go through the compound
of the occupant of 3A to assess his own boys quarter.
In order to solve the problem, the then Chairman of Housing instructed that the
garage be converted to two room boys quarters and the former two bedroom
boys quarter should be converted to garage. This way the issue of accessibility
to the boys quarters would have been solved.
And as mentioned in the reply of Dr. Onuoha, the garage was converted to two
rooms boys quarters and was shared by the two occupants, but the former two
room boys quarter was not converted to garage as instructed. Hence, the
occupant of 3A now had to himself, the former two room boys quarters and a
boys quarter in the converted garage (making three boys quarters for the
occupants of 3A).
Flowing from the above, there is need to convert the old boys quarters to garage
as instructed by then Chairman of Housing for the use of occupant of 3A.
Thank you sir.

CONSTRUCTION OF SHOP ON 33KV EKEDP ELECTRICAL CABLE

NEAR ENI-NJOKU HALL OF RESIDENCE
During our routine inspection, we noticed a shop near Eni-Njoku Hall of Residence
(See attached photographs.). This shop is built on a 33KV EKEDP cable that goes
to the EKEDP/PHCN substation.
On enquiry from the shop operator, Mr. Mike Ogu. He claimed that the shop was
allocated to him by Property Development Investment.
The location of this shop is dangerous for the operator of the shop and students
patronizing the place. There is therefore the need to relocate this shop from the
place to avoid any mishap around the area.
Thank you.
