Shop Security using GSM

Theory:
In the modern age, security of every object has key importance due to security issues.
Engineers and scientists are using new technologies to secure the world as much as they can. I
also want to do project which is related to security. I have searched a lot to make project and I
was very confused to select about which security is the requirement of people that engineers and
scientists are not giving importance as they should give? So I selected shop security therefore I
am going to make project on shop security.

Theme:
The project will secure shop in night from thieves. More importantly I wanted to make it
real time security so I have decided to use some communication module like mobile or
something else that involve owner of shop if any theft plan occur in shop. So main idea is that
whenever in night the thief will open the door of shop it a phone call will be sent to owner of call
immediately which will tell owner that something wrong is going on in shop. Secondly
immediately an alarm will ring in shop which will activate all persons near shop and last but not
the least an SMS will be sent to Police Station in that area and police will come on spot to catch
thieves.
So this is the basic idea on which this project will work.

Working of Project:
As you can see in above diagram the working of this project is very simple. Lets
start how it works and how all is done in it. Initially thief tries to open the door of shop. We will
adjust power button with door in such a way that whenever the door of shop is opened it got
pressed. So when thief will open the door, the button will get press and an interrupt will be sent
to PIC 18F458 that is brain of this project. The PIC immediately will send command to GSM to
call owner and secondly it will turn on Alarm Immediately.
Now owner have known that something is going on in shop if he wants to call police
immediately he will send password in that GSM number of shop and that password will be
forwarded to PIC from GSM. The PIC will match that password with pre defined password in its
programming, if they got matched and SMS will be sent to POLICE stating the address of shop
and informing about theft. So in this way POLICE will arrive immediately.
This was how it will work.

PIC:
PIC microcontrollers (Programmable Interface Controllers), are electronic circuits that can be
programmed to carry out a vast range of tasks. They can be programmed to be timers or to
control a production line and much more. They are found in most electronic devices such as
alarm systems, computer control systems, phones, in fact almost any electronic device. Many
types of PIC microcontrollers exist, although the best are probably found in the GENIE range of
programmable microcontrollers. These are programmed in MP LAB IDE software.
PIC Microcontrollers are relatively cheap and can be bought as pre-built circuits or as kits that
can be assembled by the user.

SIM 900 GSM:

GSM wireless module-SIM900 will be used for calling purposes in this project. This is a
complete Quad-band GSM/GPRS module in a SMT type and designed with a very powerful
single-chip processor integratingARM926EJ-S core, allowing you to benefit from small
dimensions and cost-effective solutions.

Alarm:
Any security alarm can be used.

Power Button:
Any push button can be used that gets adjust with door

Battery:
We will use 12 volt 7 Ampere battery to provide power to GSM and PIC and whole circuit.
