Overview
As part of the Aladdin Portfolio Services Investment Services Performance and GIPS group, the
Performance Analytics and Business Modeling Team is responsible for providing analytical and project
implementation support for firm wide performance and attribution requirements. Core competencies of the
team include BlackRock performance and attribution platform and infrastructure expertise, broad asset
class pnl knowledge, regional markets product knowledge, and project management execution.
This is a project oriented role to be based out of our India office with a focus on enhancing and supporting
the various business processes within the performance team around the globe. Individual will be
responsible for the automation and streamlining of existing performance and NAV related functions as
well as development and implementation of new initiatives that the team is responsible for. In addition, the
individual will be expected to be become very technical with Blackrocks proprietary platform while
maintaining an understanding of general accounting principles, performance standards, attribution
modeling.
Responsibilities

Specification and Development of new workflows to be administered by the Gurgaon office that
support total return data requirements.

Creates customized performance reporting based on client specifications using PERL, BIRT, or
other report writing tools.

Leverages India time zone to troubleshoot production related issues in a timely manner and
provide support to other groups around the globe.

Assists in retiring manual spreadsheet driven processes onto the BlackRock platform, leveraging
the latest technology available.

Extracts and utilizes data from various sources such as databases, files, or servers for use in
performance calculation or reporting.

Enhances efficiency within India team through automated quality control process modeling and
implementation.

Communicate with project stakeholders in the US and EMEA while keeping deliverable ETAs
accurate and transparent.

Coordinates with other key counterparts within the India office and around the globe to ensure
client needs can be serviced through Performance Teams infrastructure.

Partners with internal PNL, Attribution, NAV, and GIPS groups to automate processes and
reporting to create workload bandwidth

Skills

Proficiency in Unix, SQL, BIRT, PERL, and relational databases a very strong plus.

Proven track record of having excellent programming skills/experience with Microsoft Technology
like VB/ VBA, MS Access (Forms, SQL/Queries, Reports, Macros), Excel, MS-Office

Previous Asset Management - Performance & Accounting experience preferable

Experience with external data vendors such as Morningstar, Lipper, and Bloomberg.

Strong technical aptitude and the ability to easily learn new technology.

Troubleshooting, Debugging, and other technical problem solving skills.

Experience in gathering and developing detailed functional requirements

Strong team player

Ability to work under pressure and under tight deadlines.

Excellent attention to detail

Experience working in a global team a plus
