WALT We are learning to We are learning

about patterns including subtraction and addition.
WILF What Im looking for Students to be
able to answer patterns by using working out
strategies.

e.g. DOL strategies, grouping

strategies
DOL Strategies:
Strategy One - Attitudes and
Perceptions

Strategy Two - Extend and

Refine Knowledge
Strategy Four - Use Knowledge
Meaningfully

mins

Do a warm up on sequences with students

by doing a large star chain on the board.
Ask students to roll the dice to fill in the
blanks.
Complete Keeping Track of Stock
worksheet on the board as a class asking
students to provide answers where
necessary.
After this activity has been completed but
a similar Keeping Track of Stock
activity on the board and ask students to
answer themselves. Go through through
the answer with the students.

Classroom Management: Students to sit at their

desks. Students are not to roam around the room.
Differentiation: Help the lower students through
scaffolding to ensure that none of them stay in
the learning pit.

Safety Considerations/Materials
Students to sit at their desks. No students to roam around the roam.

Assessment
