Journal 5 assumptions related to Reflective Practice

The statement An informed teacher has an extensive knowledge base about teaching is so
true because a teacher has to be well educated, has to have great general and methodological
knowledge.
Much can be learned about teaching through self-inquiry this is a statement where we
look deep inside us as just a human being, our strengths and weaknesses, what person I am
really, how I perceive myself, is it different than what other think of me?
Much of what happens in teaching is unknown for the teacher. A teacher can assume what
students will learn after a particular lesson but it is an unknown phenomenon what students
will really grasp from this time. There are also many unpredictable situations that can happen
while teaching, how to deal with it?
Teaching experience alone is insufficient as a basis for continuing development yes, you
can be an experienced teacher and dont develop any more, and why is it that? I think that
constant development by attending workshops, discussions, professional training,
courses increases the value of a teacher.

Cortical reflection can trigger a deeper understanding of teaching. Of course because when
we come back to a lesson and we self asses looking critically at what we have done it can be
very beneficial for our way of teaching.
