Nighttime Milling and Resurfacing Project, Route 243 in New Haven 

  
 The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a 
nighttime milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 243 in 
New Haven, beginning Thursday, June 16, 2016. 
  
The project consists of milling and resurfacing 1.47 miles of Route 243 in 
New Haven.  This project is scheduled to occur Thursday, June 16, 2016 to 
Thursday, June 30, 2016.  The milling segment of this project is anticipated 
to be performed on Thursday, June 16, 2016 through Wednesday, June 22, 
2016.  The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed 
on Sunday, June 26, 2016 through Thursday, June 30, 2016. 
  
This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2016 Vendor 
Resurfacing Program. 
  
LANE CLOSURE INFO 
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 243 from Woodbridge Town Line 
to Route 63 (Whalley Ave).  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns 
will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work 
schedule for this project is 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
