Personal statement
A highly motivated and hardworking individual. At my school I received 10 GCSE grade
Cs and 1 BTEC pass in electronics. I have numerous interests areas such as business,
sales, retail and electronics in a long line with many more. I am also very flexible and
adaptable and can work successfully independently or as part of a team. Along with this I
am also very punctual, smart, presentable and polite. I am currently looking for a part
time job as I am at Clarendon Sixth Form but have previously spent a year at Ashton
Sixth Form completing my first year of A levels.
I am also mechanically minded, with a methodical approach to working and an eagerness
to learn and develop personal skills in a practical or a theological setting.
Whilst attending West Hill School, I achieved the status of prefect. This shows that I am
sensible, responsible and trustworthy as whilst I had this status I had to deal with a
variety of situations, which a teacher was not present and I had to identify my role and
take action fixing the situation with the best outcome. After school I continued my
education further to Ashton Sixth Form College doing AS Levels. After a while of this is
discovered it wasnt for me so I now attend Clarendon Sixth Form College as a media
student. I have also worked in a variety of places such as Glossop Caravans, ANS
Marketing and Sulzer Metco.

Media
For the past year I have been attending Clarendon Sixth Form College doing a level 3 BTech in creative media. Throughout my time here I have learned a variety of key skills
and have got an understanding of many different topics such as advertisements, film
production, TV industry, graphics and may other topics. I have improved my knowledge
and skills on a large amount of programmes such as Photoshop, Premier Pro, and C4D. I
have used these programmes over the course of a year to create a music video and a
watch advert along with using Photoshop to produce a DVD cover and sleeve for a horror
film. I have been taught a better understanding of things such as money, the different
job roles within media, the differences between single and multi camera production and
the main ownership of the media sector.
After finishing my second year college course I hope to progress to university and follow
this path into further education, by doing this I will be a lot more qualified in the industry
giving me a better start at my career as I will already have a great knowledge and
understanding of the subject and what needs to be done in the different job roles.
Media is extremely important to me as I enjoy the work and everything, which it entails. I
hope that in the future I will be hopefully be able to start a career in media. I believe that
media is right for me as once into the industry I believe I am quite able to follow this path
with high levels of motivation and an eager open mind to the work which I will be

assigned. I believe this will be quite easy to achieve as it is a subject which I deeply have
fun doing.

Previous Jobs / Experience

I have a few previous jobs such as working at Glossop Caravans, this job included
washing the caravans on a tight schedule, reporting any issues with the product to the
workshop who would have to resolve them and having to gather information on the
customers opinions of the products.
I have also worked at Barbarritos working in the kitchen having gained a level 2 B-Tech in
Health and Catering. This also entailed having to work on a tight schedule, having to deal
with customers, keeping food fresh and up the standards of the company, complying with
strict health and safety rules and finally having to follow even stricter hygiene
regulations making sure that the food is at its best for the customers.
ANS was a marketing company, which I had to attempt to fix the publics computer issues
at any one time. This was difficult, as the public would often be impolite and impatient as
they were frustrated with the problems.
Sulzer Metco is a powder coatings company in which I did a months work experience for
in the labs having to work with extremely dangerous equipment, heating metals up to
incredible temperatures and mixing a large variety of dangerous chemicals.
