You must read and understand the precautions and

guidelines in Service Information, group 50, "General
Safety Practices, Brakes and Air Systems" before performing this procedure. If you are not properly trained
and certified in this procedure, ask your supervisor for
training before you perform it.
NOTE: For further information about rakes refer to service information in Group 5.

To prevent corrosion, before installing
the ABS Sensor, apply lubricating
grease on the ABS Sensor.

Insert the spring slip into the sensor
housing until the tangs touch the
housing.

When installing the sensor, push the

sensor until it touches the Tone
Wheel. The sensor will self adjust to
the correct air gap.

CAUTION
When performing installation of the ABS Sensor,
avoid using hammers, screwdrivers, pry bars, etc.
These tools can cause component damage.

CAUTION

When installing the sensor, NEVER hit the sensor

with a solid object. This damages the sensor both internally and externally

CAUTION
When fastening the cable, NEVER overfasten the tie
wraps enough to damage the cable.
Fasten the ABS Sensor cable firmly
using tie wraps or clips.
