Towards achieving Global Policing Standards, Hyderabad City Police launches a
unique Mobile Technology Application "HYD COP".
Hyderabad COP is a mobile based application for the internal use of Hyderabad
City Police. All the IT applications and databases currently in use in Hyderabad
City Police have been made available to the officers in the field through this Hyd
COP application on smart phones of all officers and staff of Hyderabad City. The
officers on the field operations/jobs can capture the data from the crime
scene/place of work, update the same into the various applications, analyze and
process the data and obtain analytical reports online on their mobile phones.
The HYDCOP, a mobile technology application will revolutionize the way
Hyderabad City Police works and will enable and empower every frontline police
officers right up to the constables in terms of use of technologies and smart
methods of policing. This will enable access to modern technologies to each and
every policeman of the department. This technology is expected to enhance the
efficiency and effectiveness of every police officer deployed on the streets. This
will be a game changer for Hyderabad City Police in transforming themselves into
smart cops and smart organisation enhancing standards of Public Safety &
Security in Hyderabad City on par with any Global City.

COLLABORATION

This is an important service for the field officers in case of any emergencies and Law
& Order problems. By using this service any Police Officer on duty can know the
details of nearest Patrol Cars, Police Officers based on his location to communicate
and collaborate when required.
This service also has Leave a Buzz option to quickly send emergency alert to
Control Room, Senior Officers and nearest Police Officers for quick response and
rescue operations guided by route map.
All Important phone numbers of the different stake holders such as Hospitals,
Ambulances, Electricity Board, GHMC, etc., has been provided in phone diary for
quick access and communication.

JAIL RELEASE MANAGEMENT (JRMS)

This service gives us real-time offenders status whether they are in jail or released
from jail. User can also search on offenders Name, Police Station, Jail and based on
Head of Crime. This helps the Police Officers to have the surveillance on all the repeat
offenders to prevent the crime rather than detect the crime.

MO OFFENDERS CHECKING

All the Hyderabad resident Offenders, History Sheeters (KD, ROWDY, DC and
SUSPECT) residences are geo-tagged with this app. As part of regular surveillance and
crime prevention process, the front line Police Officers have to visit their localities to
know about the present whereabouts, means of livelihood and the status of the
offenders/sheeters such as In Jail, Out of Jail, On Bail, Active, In-Active and Out of
View.
The complete checking process can be done thorough this mobile app and the
respective SHOs can view that how many offenders/sheeters are being checked daily
and whether the Patrol Car/Bulecolts staff are really visiting the offender place with
the help of GPS co-ordinates.

CAMS

This service through GIS mapping helps the field officers to know the nearby
Community CCTV Cameras based on the crime scene location to get the CCTV Camera
footages to detect the crime immediately without wasting precious time.
The front line police officers will have access to the locations of CCTV cameras
situated around any crime scene in real time.

This will enable frontline police officers to get processed intelligence inputs online in real time for
solving various crimes from the crime scenes through access to multiple databases, applications,
data mining tools, big data analytics, GIS mapping etc.
This will enable faster identification and tracking of suspects, quicker resolving of cases and
enhanced convictions to the offenders. This will transform every frontline police officer into a tech
savvy smart police officer.

LOOKOUT NOTICES

This service enables the Police officers to view the Commisssionerate wide Lookout
Notices on Missing Persons, Unknown Dead bodies and Wanted Offenders in a
collaborative way to trace the same. Also, have the provision to update the traced
details form the mobile app to the respective Police Stations.

the best practices, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), field checklists and

COMMUNITY POLICING

This service enables the Police officers in identifying the felt needs of the
community, sector wise Community liaison group wise and the required
programs are under taken to proactively respond to community requirements.
All the citizens who are registered in HAWKEYE as community volunteer
information is available in case of any help/assistance from community is
required by front line Police Officers.
This will enable better police community relations through technology linkages.

Hyderabad COP will also enable Hyderabad City Cops to proactively prevent crimes through real time
intelligence inputs relating to crime and criminals. These technologies will bring in transparency and
accountability in every police officer.
This application will facilitate every employee of the Police department to upload the work turned out by them
for the day through their smart phones.
