No.PRA/Circulars.75/15 PUNJAB REVENUE AUTHORITY (2 FINANCE DEPARTMENT P NESE GOVERNMENT OF THE PUNJAB aS GATEWAY TO DEVELOPMENT 5-B, DANEPUR, ROAD GOR-I Se LAHORE Dated: 11 March, 2016 ‘cular No. 2 of 2016 (Punjab Sales Tax) Subject: Amanat Scheme for Restaurant Cu: ers (ASRC) under Rule 14 of the Punjab Restaurant Invoi: lonitoring System Rules, 2015 In supersession of the Circular of even number dated 08.03.2016, it is stated that a scheme by the name of the “Amanat Scheme” providing for valuable gifts/prizes for restaurant customers (hereinafter called “ASRC”) has been established by the Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) in terms of Rule 14 of the Punjab Restaurant Invoice Monitoring System (RIMS) Rules, 2015. By participating in ASRC, all participants shall be deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by the following terms and conditions for the said Amanat Scheme: 1, The ASRC is open to a restaurant customer who has consumed or availed taxable services of any restaurant operating under RIMS coverage worth More than one thousand rupees (excluding tax) at a time; has provided his name, CNIC and phone number to the restaurant for printing on the invoice issued to him or has communicated the particulars of invoice on the given short code number through SMS or has sent image of the invoice to the given number of the Authority through WhatsApp Messenger. 2. The ASRC shall comprise a number of prizes as exclusively determined by PRA. 3. PRA on the basis of computerized balloting shall give on a monthly or bi- monthly basis, a prize (inam) in cash or kind (which may include goods like motorcycle and car etc.) to each customer participating in the scheme and who is randomly selected by the automated deployed for the purpose of a fair and transparent balloting. 4. An invoice once received and included in balloting cannot be re-used for balloting in the main draw and shall stand automatically disqualified. However, where ten or more used invoices (previously received through any of the specified methods) are again received from a single source/phone number, they may be included in the student draw, at the sole discretion of PRA. 5, The employees of PRA, PITB, and PRAL who are involved in the implementation of RIMS as well their dependents will not be eligible for participating in the scheme.6. The winner/s will be announced and their particulars posted on PRA's Facebook page _(https://www.facebook.com/Punjab-Revenue-Authority- 117341781943221) at the end of day of balloting. The winner/s will also be notified by phone call on the number provided by the winner. 7. The unclaimed prizes after expiry of 15 days time will be cancelled/withdrawn. 8. In the event that the prize item is unavailable, PRA reserves the right to substitute a prize item of similar value at PRA’s sole direction. 9. PRA reserves the right to disqualify winner if any of the conditions (information) listed (required) are not met, or found not to be correct at any stage. 10.PRA, its partners, PRAL and PITB and their, officers and employees thereof (collectively the “Indemnified Persons") shall not be liable in any way for any claim, loss, injury, damage or inconvenience (a) arising in connection with the scheme, including, but not limited to, any error in computing the registration, any problems or breakdown or malfunction in any computer system or equipment, software, servers or providers or any combination thereof; or (b) suffered or incurred by participants, the winner or any other person howsoever arising in connection with the scheme. 11.If the scheme is not capable of running as planned by reasons of, but not limited to, the following, including malfunction due to computer virus, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures resources constraints or any other causes beyond the control of PRA which corrupts or affect the administration, operation, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the scheme, PRA reserves the right in its sole direction to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the scheme. PRA further reserves the right to disqualify any and all participants who, in the sole opinion of PRA, tempers with the entry process of the scheme. 12.PRA decision on all matters relating to or in connection with the scheme shall be at its sole and absolute discretion and shall be final and binding on all participants. Save and except for the notification to the winners, PRA and the participating government agencies shall not be obliged to enter into any correspondence on any matters concerning the scheme. In the event of any inconsistency between the terms and conditions, any brochure, marketing or promotion material relating to the scheme, the terms and conditions shall prevail 13.Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable for cash, credit or any other items. PRA may at its sole discretion at any time and without prior notice, replace or substitute a prize with another prize of similar value selected by PRA. PRA makes no representations or warranties as to the quality/suitability/merchantability of any of the goods/services offered as prizes. PRA and the participating government agencies are not liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered or sustained, to person or property and including, but not limited to indirect and consequential (including economic)losses by reason of the use, enjoyment or operation of any prize by a participant, his/her family or any other person. 14.By participating in the scheme by communicating through one of the methods specified at paragraph 1 above, the participants shall be deemed to have agreed to the terms and conditions of the scheme. All details and particulars submitted must be true, accurate and complete. Any information submitted with complete or invalid detail will be disqualified immediately, 15.PRA reserves the right to disclose and publish the name, and such other Particulars (including the photograph) of any participant/winner in such mode and manner as PRA may in its sole discretion deems appropriate for publicity Purposes and the winner agrees to be photographed, to the disclosure of his or her personal particulars, the use of his or her name, picture, image and voice for publicity purposes connected with the scheme and to co-operate with and participate in the activities organized by PRA for this purpose without additional compensation and/or notification. 16.PRA reserves the right to, at its sole and absolute discretion, vary, modify and amend any terms and conditions set out herein and/or to suspend, discontinue or terminate the scheme at any time without prior notification, or liability to any part. 17.The winner(s) shall consent to PRA disclosure and/or publication of his his/her name and/or any other of his/her particulars in any manner which PRA may deem fit for publicity purposes. The winner(s) shall co-operate with and participate in such publicity activity organized by PRA for these purposes.
