Feature Article Rough Draft

Now it is your job to take the information you learned about Splash and write about him in
paragraph form. The first paragraph tells about what you learned about where Splash might
live. First, tell who Splash is, then tell about the places on Earth where he might live. You will
write one paragraph for Task #1 here:

tell how Splash can get from the sky to the ground and back up to the sky. You have a choice
to show what you learned by drawing a diagram of the water cycle or you can write a
paragraph. If you decide to draw, then you will write a paragraph for Task #3. If you decide to
write now, then you will complete a chart for Task #3. Start your paragraph explaining about
precipitation (rain, snow, etc.). Write your paragraph for Task #2 here or turn the paper over to
draw and label the diagram of the water cycle:

Finally, you are to share how we use water in and around our homes and what we can do to
use it more carefully. If you drew the diagram for #2, then you will write a paragraph. If you
wrote a paragraph for #2, then you will complete the chart on the next page. Your paragraph
should include information on how we use water at home and how we can use less of it or use
it more carefully. Remember you have one idea for each day of the week. Maybe you can
start your paragraph with an introduction and then write about what you can do each day to
conserve water.
