Four Charged With Srebrenica Genocide

Four former members of the Republika Srpska Army, VRS, are facing genocide charges in
connection with the massacre of more than 800 men and boys at Srebrenica, the Court of
Bosnia and Herzegovina has confirmed.

The court confirmed an indictment alleging that the members of the 10th Sabotage Detachment
carried out the killings at the Branjevo military farm in Pilica in the Zvornik municipality in
July 1995.

Franc Kos, also known as Slovenac and Zuti, Stanko Kojic, known as Geza, Vlastimir Golijan
and Zoran Goronja, known as Zoka, are alleged to have participated in the murders.

Kos, in his capacity as commander, and Kojic, Golijan and Goronja are alleged to have shot the
detainees, some of whom were tied and blindfolded.

Kos and Kojic are alleged to have then searched for survivors and shot them.

A plea hearing is expected to be scheduled for a later date.

Kos, who is alleged to have used the name of Branimir Manojlovic, was arrested in the
Republic of Croatia in April and extradited to Bosnia.

The State Investigation and Protection Agency, SIPA, arrested Golijan, Goronja and Kojic in
late February.

Momir Pelemis and Slavko Peric, former members of the Headquarters of the First Battalion
with the VRS Zvornik Brigade, are on trial before the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina in
connection with the murder of Bosniaks at Branjevo military farm.
