 Current situation

 Hostel is located in a hilly area

 With high intensities of rainfall

 When the soil is saturated the soil is infiltrated to full capacity and
excess water from rain flows over the land (surface runoff).

The soils particles are dislodged and erosion occurs

even though terraced have been done.
 The soil particles became suspended in the surface runoff and
are carried into the nearby stream.
