Describing a fire

From a distance I could see thick gray smoke billowing into the skies. The once
pale blue sky is now shielded by a veil of darkness as the smoke swallows up the
whole sky. Before long, fierce fire could be seen sneaking their way out from the
row of houses. Windows crack and splinter all over the place as the devilish
flames greedily engulf all that is in sight; sparing nothing. As though the situation
is not bad enough, gusts of warm summer breeze fan the fire into a rage. Closing
up to the scene, I could feel waves of blazing heat forcing me to back-off. The
bright hot flames produce evil crackling sounds as they busily lick every inch of
the houses. Occasionally, sounds of explosions could be heard. It must be the
gas cylinders in the houses exploding under the strong pressure of the heat.
Needless to say, the entire situation is a total chaos. People could be seen
scrambling around as the sirens of the fire engine entered into the scene.
