Finding Parts for a Lowe’s Ceiling Fan

I wrote this guide to help find parts for a Lowe’s ceiling fans after our fan was
damaged while taking it down to install in a different location.

My first step was to gather all the information I could from the fan housing and
write it down for reference.

1. Internet search

• Found I was not the only person looking for parts.

2. Went to Lowe’s

• Talked to a helpful person in the Lighting Department. He remembered

the fan I described but they don’t carry it any longer.
• He thought it had been made by Litex
• I called Litex but they said it was not there fan and that many vendors
make fans for Harbor Breeze. He gave me a number to Lowe’s
customer care.
• Called them but the model number doesn’t help. They needed the
name of the style or the SKU number.

3. Searched Lowes.com, good if you want to give up and just buy another one.

4. Went to WWW.UL.COM and searched the UL Online Certification Directory.

• File No. E185585 from the label

• Found out who made it.

5. Searched for Lowes Corporate contact information.

• 1000 Lowes Blvd

• Mooresville, NC 28117-8520
• Phone: (336) 658-4000

6. Telephoned Lowe’s Corporate.

 Spoke to someone in parts and technical I gave them all the
information I had and they identified it as a Helix II fan
SKU no. 228365 made by Westinghouse Lighting.

7. Telephoned Westinghouse.
 Spoke to someone in parts and they are getting together all the
pieces I need and shipping them to me.

8. Success !!!!

It took some time to do this but in the end it saved the cost of a new
ceiling fan.
