Demand

Demand analysis is an important component in identifying consumers needs and determining

their willingness to pay for a given product. It is a great help in building up a business that will be a
source of the demand.
Cosumers usually wants to buy a given amount of goods at a stated price. Demand is used to compare
sales quantity, consumption and may refer either to historical demand or to projected demand.
Estimation of future demand for the product must be considered since the total projected demand of a
given product shows expected sales quantity of a particular projects. Assessment are made through the
various projection method
1. Arithmetic Straight Line Method
2. Arithmetic Geometric curve Method
3. Stastistical Straight line Method
4. Stastistical parabolic Line Method
5. Stastistical Geometric Curve Method
Historica Demand in Melamine
The historical demand in melamine locally is taken from the National Statistical Office.
Table : Historical Data of Demand
From , the demand showed an increasing trend of values. The historical data of the
demand is increasing and consistent due to the grownig number of melamine users each year.
Projection of Demand
There are five methods in the projection of demand. Several equation are used to project the
data for the next 10 years.
1. Using Arithmetic Straight Line Method (ASLM)

Plant Layout
Plant Layout has an important part in determining construction and manufacturing costs and
thus must be planned carsfully with attention being given to future problems that may rise. Proper
layout includes arrangement of processing areas, storage areas and handling areas in efficient
coordination and with regard to such factors as:
1. new site development or addition to previously developed site.
2. Type and quantity of products to be produced
3. Possible future expansion
4. Operational convinience and accessibility
5. type of process and product control
6. Economic distribution of utilities and services
7. Type of builiding s and building code requirements
8. health and safety considerations
9. Waste-disposal problems
10. Auxilliary equipment
11. Space Available and Space required
12. Roads and railroads

Instrumentaation and processes Control

The purpose of this section of the plant design will be highlight the principal features process
control and instrumentation and show their relationship to chemical and plant design practice.
Instrument of this pointsare assigned a code number for the identification of design purchase and
energy components must then be measured, compared with a designed standard, computed, integrated
and corrected when necessary for a smooth operation chemical process.
Instrumentation
Instrument are used in the chemical industry to measure the process varialbles , such as
temperature pressure, density, viscisity, specific heat, conductivity, humidity, liquid level, flow rate,
chemical composition and moisture content. By used of instruments having varying degrees of
complexity, the values of these varialbles can be recorded continuously and controlled within narrow
limits.
Large number of process variables must be maintained within specified limits in order for the
plant to operate properly. Excursion
